Remember salt for de-icing is not safe for pets!!
Rock salt is not safe, as it can cut your dog’s paws and is toxic if ingested in large quantities. If you need to de-ice your property try to get pet friendly de-icer, the pet friendly ones tend to have less toxic chemicals in them. If you can put boots on your furry friends when walking on salt, this will help prevent any chemical burns that can appear! If your pet doesn’t want to wear boots try to avoid areas that have salt on them. Make sure your pets are not licking or eating any salt when they go out!
